The Stuyvesant-LaBruyere-Bekheet Family

Meet Eric D. Stuyvesant, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, a devoted husband, and a father of eight children. Eric's passion for serving his community has inspired him to run for the Garland City Council in District 2.

Having lived in Garland for over a decade, Eric has dedicated his time to serving his community and getting involved in various organizations such as the Garland Masonic Lodge, South Garland Little League, and the First United Methodist Church of Garland.

During the pandemic, Eric stepped up to help those in need by dedicating part of his business resources to Code Cares, a program that provides assistance to disabled, low-income, and senior citizens.

With a strong educational background in business management and years of experience as a business owner, Eric is committed to promoting economic growth and boosting job opportunities in the city.

Beyond his business endeavors, Eric is also a talented filmmaker and author. He has produced several music videos, short projects, and a feature-length film. He has also authored a memoir titled From the Inside Out: A Reckoning and Redemption.

Eric's civic experience is equally impressive. He has served on two City of Garland committees, the I-30 TIF and the Environmental and Community Advisory Board.

Eric is committed to serving the citizens of Garland with transparency, accountability, and integrity.
